Are you able to make less categories on the home page (for instance lowering the amount to around 4) and then turning the other categories into sub-categories? I'm not sure how the forum works but a lot of the categories can be fit under more general categories and make it easier to navigate.

Example:

Academy
- Traditional
- Contemporary
- Curriculum
- Lion & Dragon
- Basics
- Difficulties

Non- Academy
-
- Other Athletes
- Other Schools/Teams
- Misc. Wushu Talk

History

Non- Wushu
- Religion/Philosophy
